Cookies and local storage
The site uses a session cookie, a “Keep me logged in” cookie when you ask for it, and browser local storage. Optional statistics and Google Analytics 4, if configured, start only after consent.

Session cookie: language identifier and anti-CSRF token. HttpOnly, valid for the visit.
Keep me logged in
“Keep me logged in” cookie: set only when you tick the box at sign-in. It holds a random token (the server keeps only a fingerprint of it) that reopens your session on this device for 30 days. HttpOnly, erased on sign-out and with every password change.
Local storage
Local storage: language, theme and zone preferences, the statistics choice and, for a member, the safety copy of an edit the server has not received yet. No guest drawing is kept there. Clearable from the browser settings.
Privacy-respecting statistics
Optional statistics: a local anonymous identifier that rotates monthly supports almawqii’s own counts. If Google Analytics 4 is enabled, its tag may also use its own cookies and storage after your consent.
